Program Description

The Creighton School District Career Ladder Program (CLP) provides teachers with opportunities for career advancement, professional growth, and equal pay for equal performance without leaving classroom instruction. Through a multi-level structure of professional positions, teachers may advance to higher levels of compensation with improved or advanced teaching skills, educational leadership, and innovation.

Career Ladder Program Goals

1. To increase student achievment and academic progress

2. To provide a Career Ladder Plan that will recognize three (3) levels of career teaching – Establishment (Level I), Adaptation (Level II), and Extension (Level III)

3. To provide additional compensation above the standard salary schedule to teachers who qualify for a specific level/track of the CLP

4. To provide staff development programs that will increase teacher effectiveness in the areas of Instruction, Classroom Management, and Counseling

5. To provide staff development programs that will improve the skills of Planning, Implementing and Evaluating

6. To attract and retain outstanding educators to the Creighton Elementary School District
