Q: Where is your office?
A: Our office is on the Southeast corner of the Excelencia School campus. Our address is 2181 East McDowell Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85006.
Q: Am I too old to take one of your classes?
A: No one is ever too old to learn. We welcome adults of all ages.
Q: Do I have to have children in the district in order to take classes?
A: No, we welcome all adults in the community.
Q: When can I register for classes?
A: We start registering two months before the start of each semester. We have a spring semester that starts the third week of January and a fall semester that starts the first week of August.
Q: How can I volunteer?
A: If you have children in the District, you just have to tell your school welcome center and they will find you a perfect placement. If you don't have children in the district, you come to the Community Education office and fill out an application. We have great need for volunteers in all areas.
Q: How long is each semester?
A: Each semester is sixteen weeks long and each class meets two times a week.
Q: How do I know what level English course I should take?
A: When you come to our office to register, we give you an assessment or placement test, which indicates your level.
Q: How much do I have to pay to take a class?
A: All classes cost only $20 dollars. If your class requires a book, you have to purchase it in our office and it is a separate charge.
Q: How frequently do you offer Parenting Classes?
A: We offer eight-week sessions four times per year.
