Hispanic Mother Daughter Program
Mothers and Daughters Planning for Success
Wish our girls luck!!!
Every fall, hundreds of seventh grade female students and their mothers around the Valley prepare to compete for the Hispanic Mother –Daughter Program. The HMDP is an early-outreach program that was designed to raise the educational awareness and career aspirations of Hispanic women. ASU in partnership with school districts around the Valley recruits and selects 75 teams of seventh grade female students and their mothers.
If selected, mother-daughter teams begin the HMDP 10-year commitment in the eighth grade and it ends with their College degree. Participants are required to attend nine monthly workshops at the ASU Tempe campus that focus on leadership, high academic standards, and healthy choices. After high school, many HMDP participants receive full or partial scholarships to ASU.
Selection Criteria
- First generation university bound
- Current 7th grade student

Creighton School District has great pride in the fact that more of our students are selected every year than any other district. Thank you to all who provide guidance, support and encouragement to our competing applicants.
