Curriculum and Instruction
As a Curriculum and Instruction Department we bring together district teachers, principals and administrators to:
♦ Develop, Update and Refine curriculum documents
♦ Evaluate and Select core and supplemental materials and resources
♦ Select, Develop, and Implement instructional strategies, methods, and professional development which reflect current best practices according to research
Our department also:
♦ Develops and Facilitates New Teacher orientation training
♦ Develops and Facilitates the Developing Teacher programs, services, and training
♦ Oversees the Mentor program, services, and training
♦ Supports the Career Ladder program and teachers
♦ Supports the District’s Assessment Plan
♦ Facilitates the work of the Reading Coaches
♦ Supports the work of the Language Acquisition TOA’s
