The Creighton Elementary School District takes part in the National School Lunch/School Breakfast Program. Meals are served every school day. Children may buy lunch for $1.25; and breakfast for no charge. Meals are also available for free or at a reduced price to those who qualify.
If you now get Food Stamps, Cash Assistance (CA), or Food Distribution on Indian Reservations (FDPIR) for your child, your child can get free meals.
If your total household income is at or below the amounts on the Income Chart on the Parent Letter (see below for downloadable versions), your child can get free meals or reduced price meals for 40 cents ($0.40) for lunch, and no charge for breakfast.
If you have a foster child, that child may be eligible for benefits regardless of your income.
An application for free or reduced meals will come home with your child during the first week of school. Applications are also available at the school office or from the cafeteria clerk. To get free or reduced-priced meals for your child, carefully complete the application and return it to the school cafeteria or school office. The parent/guardian is responsible for paying for the student's meqals until they have received notification of that student's meal status. Applications for new students are generally approved in less than 5 business days after receipt in the Food Service Office. An application that is not complete cannot be approved.
If you like, you can also download both the application form and the parent letter. The documents are in .pdf format and you may need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view them.
