Project Based Learning

Opportunities are provided for all Creighton students to engage in Project Based Learning and scholarly discussions across the curriculum.

Project Based Learning is a dynamic classroom approach in which students actively explore real-world problems and challenges and acquire a deeper knowledge. Student voice is key in PBLs. Students are encouraged to determine a project that is important to them. Students engage and are assessed in critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and project management. Students take responsibility for their learning and develop solutions for complex problems when their research paper becomes a PBL unit.

Reflection is an important component to Project Based Learning. Students and teachers engage in thoughtful, comprehensive reflection both during the project and after its culmination, about what and how students learn and the project's design and management.
